The twin cities of Champaign, IL and Urbana, IL located in Champaign County, form a community of approximately 104,000 people.  The economy is driven largely by the University of Illinois and 2 large hospitals.  In 2008 there were approximately 2450 real estate and property transactions in  Champaign-Urbana and the surrounding areas.  Prices for properties are expected to stay stable over the next 12 months.

 

The University of Illinois is one of the top 20 Universities in the country.  People can follow Big 10 athletics, attend one of 5 theaters at Krannert Center for Performing Arts, or check out the U of I library, the 3rd largest acedemic library in the nation.

 

Several public and private school systems serving families in the area include Champaign Unit 4, Urbana Unit 16, Mahomet, and Tolono Unit 7.  Exceptional recreational opportunities in and around the area are provided by the award winning Champaign Park District and the Urbana Park District.
